For this class I decided I wanted to try some techniques I have never done before in sculpting with texture and wings. I ended up deciding to do an action figure of a harpy. I did a quick sketch then armature sketch of the basic idea.





Because I wanted the legs to have ball joints I make the armature differently. I just drilled a hole and attached wire to the ball joint and attach the torso armature to a standing pipe so it could float above.



I started building up the clay so I could have structure and form.

This is where I ended for now. I am not sure how I am going to sculpt the wings and I tried to add some feathers out of curiosity on the hips, which I don't like as much now.
