Hi guys, Hope I'm in the right place, but making this mask and costume from scratch has inspired me to learn more. Especially the sculpture side etc. I made this to attend a Pirate Party at the Disney cruise this year. Made a few mistakes, and chuffed to finish it but it took me about 6 months. It was my first ever venture into the arts. Never ever drawn or sculpted in my life. Love it! Only thing that I wish were different (as this is a cosplay that I plan to make as well) is that the costume weren't so...clean? Other than that I absolutely love it.

Believe it or not I did spend some time "dirtying " it up. I used FM acrylic inks sepia and greens colours to airbrush some colours into the materials. The hat was the worst though as it took ages to make and then add all the (rubber) barnacles and shells
