Witches 1990 film
I fell in love with this movie when I was a little girl, and honestly, I think it's the reason I became so obsessed with special effects makeup and prosthetics.
I remember watching it and being fascinated by how they made someone look so terrifying and real. I wanted to know how they did it, and even more, I wanted to try it myself.
So here I am, all these years later, finally recreating something that inspired me as a kid.
I made the prosthetic pieces, worked with latex to build up the skin and wrinkles, created the long witch nose and chin, and spent hours painting, blending, and adding all those creepy little details. The claws were another project all on their own!
I'm definitely still learning, and not everything worked the first time. There were plenty of mistakes, a few frustrating moments, and a whole lot of figuring things out as I went.
But I loved every minute of bringing her to life.
It's funny how something you loved as a child can stay with you your entire life.
And I have to say, I'm pretty darn proud of how she turned out.
