Halo Infinite Yokai Spartan 妖怪 - 2025 Halloween Costume Contest
Growing up, Halo 3 was my favorite game and it honestly still is to this day. My oldest son, Ryan, has recently gotten into Halo Infinite and I have to say that playing alongside him has been one of the best bonding moments a nerd parent could ask for.
I know Infinite may not be the most popular game out of the lineup, but the memories made while playing it with friends and family have given me a ton of nostalgia and I’m reminded so much of how I felt about Halo 3.
I’m an artist who has specialized in cosplay & props for the last 5+ years, so I naturally had to take it up a notch and level up my game (literally) when Ryan asked for his own suit.
The creative freedom was all up to Ryan and he decided on the Yokai helmet, Mark V suit, and Liberty Clad Armor Coating. For his weapon of choice we went with the MK50 Sidekick , X-Treme Deluxe weapon coating, and banana charm.
Diving deeper into the build process, the suit consists of a variety of mixed media.
All of the armor pieces were 3D printed with PLA and PETG filaments while the visor was resin printed using a clear resin mixed with a custom blue resin dye.
The undersuit was casted and molded with silicone for the torso, shoulders, and shins and the gloves were casted and molded with latex.
The paint was a custom automotive mix that was crafted specifically to match the references from the game.
Finally, all props and accessories were 3D printed to complement the features of the Yokai Spartan.
Please enjoy this feature of Ryan, standing among replicated scenery from the Forest map, as he searches for the infamous Oddball!
