Twisted Clown
This is a latex mask I made this year. It was my first time making a latex mask so I followed along with the Stan Winston videos with Timothy Martin. I wanted to practice sculpting facial features and the flow of forms and I came up with this design. I sculpted it out of WED clay on a foam core head. I clayed up the sculpt and did a two part hydrocal mold. I painted it with rubber cement and acrylics. I wanted a clown makeup that felt lived in and haphazard so after my rubber cement was sealed I went back it with actual makeup.
