I've been a big fan of the band Lordi for many years. It makes sense, considering how much I love practical effects and 80s heavy metal.

I love Lordi's aesthetic and always wanted action figures of these monsters, but unfortunately, they didn't exist. A few years ago, I made a series of pieces of the lineup from the Deadache album, but at the time, I didn’t have the technical knowledge to make articulated figures (though I’m still very happy with the result—if you’d like to see them, you can check out my Instagram account @manu_deriguilon).

Now that I do have the know-how to make the articulated figure I dreamed of, and with the release of the new album featuring the song Fangoria, it felt like the perfect moment to make this figure and submit it to this contest (it seemed like a sign that both the contest and the song shared a connection to Fangoria).

I designed this piece entirely in Blender, then 3D-printed it in resin and painted it by hand.cti
