The piece I am presenting for the 2025 Creature Contest holds a special place in my heart as it’s the first mask/bust-style piece I ever designed. One that has affectionately been referred to by my peers as “The Bat”.

Something that was once human, perhaps, but no longer. This creature of the night crawls out of his cave for a bite to eat. Eyes squinting and of little use, but it matters not. It hears you and it smells you...
Sculpted in Chavant NSP Medium, molded in Ultracal 30, cast in RD-407 Bat Black Latex and hand-painted in acrylics by yours truly.
