“The Goblin King” – Hyper-Realistic Silicone Bust

Inspired by the original sculpture of Eduardo Ruiz Urrejola
Height: Approx. 40x50x40 cm
Material: Silicone with synthetic hair, resin horns, and mixed media crown

From the darkest depths of Middle-earth comes “The Goblin King”, a grotesquely regal creature bust inspired by the world of The Lord of the Rings. This full-scale FX piece draws from the original sculpture by Eduardo Ruiz Urrejola, but has been reinterpreted and modified to emphasize new textures, colors, and character details—bringing an even more disturbing and cinematic life to the creature.

Cast in high-grade silicone, the bust showcases exaggerated anatomical forms, diseased flesh textures, and bulging pustules that push the limits of what silicone FX can convey. Hand-punched synthetic hair adds realism through wild eyebrows, sparse wisps across the scalp, and tangled whiskers sprouting from every fold and wrinkle.

The eyes were entirely handcrafted and painted using a combination of silicone pigments and airbrush techniques, achieving a haunting, jaundiced stare that seems to follow you with malevolent intent. The crown—formed from resin and enhanced with mixed media—blends bone, twine, and decay for a raw, primitive aesthetic.

Every surface is painted in layered silicone pigments, creating organic color variation that gives the skin a translucent, lifelike quality. The grotesque finish is both cinematic and tactile—designed not only to shock but to immerse.

This is not merely a replica, but a reinterpretation through the lens of FX craftsmanship. A tribute to the grotesque, a creature brought to life through silicone, paint, and vision.

Full process images are included, showing each step from mold preparation to painting, hair work, and final detailing.
