  • My entry for the Creature making contest 2025. "Draathos" the infant 4 eyed alien. This is my own, original design. I'm just a big kid who loves to make creatures!  Originally sculpted in chavant clay, then molded and cast in a solid soft blend of ecoflex 00-20 and 00-10. Painted using the psycho paint system, regular silc pig and, (UV)silc pig. the lighter green glows under black light. His claw like nails are  sculpted from thermal plastic tinted internally with acrylic paint. He is 13" in length.
I have since cast him in several different colours and patterns. Cheers to all my fellow monster creators!!!
  • This is my entry #2- This alien creation was originally inspired by the "Fallout" alien video game, from years ago.  Originally sculpted in Chavant clay, molded and, cast in Ecoflex 00-20. I later installed metal armature through the back, I had never done that before on a 31" tall, solid silicone figure, so it was a bit challenging, but worked out well. It is painted using the psycho paint system and Silc pig. I Struggled a bit to make a manufactured looking helmet, so I took my design to my movie prop making friend, Jamie Oxenham, who plugged the design in to his 3D printer and voila!(those printers are amazing!) I just had to paint the helmet details, and add the air tubes, and LED lights. I also had a seamstress make a basic space suit, based on my design. The finished product is meant to look like a sick, battle injured alien. It was a fun project! You tube link to the completed alien https://youtube.com/shorts/Gzd2eb4T_LQ?si=ipu7bjl32C796y9Q

Title: “Hell Reborn” – Silicone FX Bust

    Artist: Pablo Guzman

Based on original sculpt of Luiz Fernando Cavalcanti Vieira

    Dimensions: 25x25x20 cm

Material: Silicone with punched synthetic hair

Step into the inferno with “Hell Reborn”, a hyper-realistic silicone bust inspired by the legendary Hellboy, reimagined for a modern FX world. This 25 cm creature cast in platinum-cure silicone, and meticulously painted to capture the raw power and demonic majesty of its infernal origin.

Every muscle on this creature’s torso is carved with anatomical precision to evoke brute strength. The vivid red silicone skin blends layered translucent tones for depth and realism. The signature curled horns—weathered and battle-scarred—emerge as a centerpiece of power, framing an intense expression brought to life by hand-punched synthetic hair and a carefully rooted beard.

The eyes burn with a supernatural glow, adding a soul to the silicone, while subtle vein work and texture detail ground this beast in a disturbing realism that would hold its own in any film set or creature shop.

A true labor of love, this piece was created entirely by hand, from clay sculpt to final detailing. A full breakdown of the process—sculpting, molding, casting, painting, and hair work—is documented in accompanying images.

This is not just a bust. It’s a character. It’s a world. It’s a monster built for the screen.

Title: “The Goblin King” – Hyper-Realistic Silicone Bust

Based on original sculpt of Eduardo Ruiz Urrejola

    Dimension: Approx. 60x30x40 cm

Material: Silicone with synthetic hair, resin teeths, and mixed media crown

From the darkest depths of Middle-earth comes “The Goblin King”, a grotesquely regal creature bust inspired by the world of The Lord of the Rings. This full-scale FX sculpture captures the ancient corruption and festering power of a forgotten tyrant who rules beneath the mountains with cruelty and decay.

Cast in high-grade silicone, the bust features complex skin texturing, open sores, and hyper-detailed facial anatomy that push the limits of prosthetic realism. The creature’s twisted expression is enhanced by hand-punched synthetic hair, including wiry eyebrows, sparse scalp strands, and vile whiskers that crawl out of his folds.

The crown—a tangle of bone, rope, and grime—is made from resin and wrapped in mixed media for a visceral, primitive feel. His jaundiced eyes lock onto you with malicious intelligence, while his rotting teeth snarl beneath cracked lips and infected pustules. Every element, from the sagging folds of his flesh to the blotchy undertones, is painted with multiple layers of silicone pigments to bring a disturbing authenticity to this king of filth.

This piece is not just sculpture—it’s storytelling in flesh. Designed to stand on a set, command the screen, or haunt a dream.

Full process images are included, showing the transformation from scratch to grotesque royalty.
