Making your own makeup?

In the old age makeup course Barney Burman mentions he makes his own old age stipple. How do you do that? What other makeup can you make instead of buying? That 36 color Fard Crème palette is $440!

    You can make your own old age stipple, however, if you are just getting started and not buying in bulk it may be more affordable to buy a small bottle of an off-the-shelf formula.  Making your own is ideal if you wish to make adjustments to the formula for specific applications.

    If you search around, you may be able to find Dick Smith's old age stipple from his makeup effect course.  Many modern formulas are based on his.
