Childbirth with baby puppet

- This costume was a team effort between me and @sabrinathebruja (instagram)
- We sculpted the baby puppet in WED clay in 1 piece and made a 1 piece ultracal 30 mold, then casted 2 copies in mask latex.
- The back half of the puppets were fabricated with paper towels and more mask latex.
- 1 copy of the puppet was a hand puppet with moving mouth.
- 1 copy of the puppet had a vinyl tube installed in the mouth so we can simulate vomiting and smoking effects.
- Sabrina crafted a paper mache belly for her faux pregnancy look.
- We fabricated the umbilical cord with latex, doll stuffing, acrylics and perma-wet.
- The vagina was sculpted in WED clay, molded in ultracal 30, and cast in mask making latex.
- The puppets were painted with PAX paints, acrylics, airbrushed with Tim Gore’s Bloodline paints, sealed with matte medium, and glossed over the mouth and eye with 5 minute epoxy.
- We thrifted all of his outfits and purchased actual baby items as props, for his instagram account @baby_monstergy (instagram)
- Sabrina has a latex allergy so we applied the latex vagina onto the outside of spandex panties and added pantyhose ripped over the “prosthetic” to help hide the seam for a 6 hour outdoor event.
- These puppets and all the effects were created over the span of 5-7 days max.
