Gold, God and Glory
This is a body paint I created at the World Body Painting with unfounded confidence and was quickly humbled hehehe!! Who was I kidding...sure I'll do it again!! It's also worth noting that this is my first proper dabble with prosthetics. I loved the outcome overall...my Mum and 8 year old kid said they thought it was the best...I'll take that hehehe...it's a laugh innit!!
My body paint is about the British Empire (nothing too light!) in the shape of an ominous skeletal Elizabeth the 1st and all the symbols from the different cultures the British subjugated. George of Cappadocia or St George is a comment about immigration, St George our patron Saint being from modern day Turkey and the xenophobia for foreigners a lot of British people have the audacity over, a nation conquered by Angles, Saxons, Celts, Normans and Romans...what are we like!?! The collar showcases plants and other valuable resources extorted from the new world and things we've nicked and are showcasing in the British Museum...cheeky!!
