Ripley’s Power Loader from Alien
I spent an insane amount of hours working on and building this 1 to 1 scale costume of the Power Loader from the first Alien. It is a stilt costume that stands at about a total height of 9-10’. It’s built primarily with construction foam backed by thin plywood. Everything is glued and screwed together. The cage is fully functional and locks into place, and I am secured by a 5-point harness. The backpack portion has a mounted battery inside that powers the spinning light on top. And alsmot all of the pistons are functional. I am wearing a matching jumpsuit with replica boots from the movie and a Ripley wig.
