Halo 3 ODST Engineer Puppet

Hiya! This lil' sack of gas is a puppet of the Halo 3: ODST Engineer that I took overseas with me to Otafest, Calgary earlier this year, to meet a bunch of my Halo compadres. Sticking to how they are named in lore, I called this one Smaller Than Average, but it's much more fun to say Lumpy Space Princess. The puppet has inflating/deflating sacs and blinking eyes, plus weighted tentacles to help with sympathetic movement.

This cosmic pom pom is made from an EVA foam base body, with upholstery foam sacs, tentacles and head (the BJ Guyer courses were abundantly helpful here!), with 3D printed armour and mechanics, foam clay details and dyed ostrich feathers for the tentacles and antennae. Between Otafest (May) and Brisbane Oz Comic Con (September), I repainted the foam, added more detail to the skirt kilt fabric bit, remade the sac mechanism to be simpler and easier to use, but most off all, completely remade the eye mechanics.
