Advice on making realistic dog paw props

Hey!

I'm working on making some dog props for a short horror movie I am making. I need to make two realistic large dog paw props and I have some ideas on how to proceed but would like to find some tutorials. I've looked through youtube and classes here but haven't found what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions/tutorial recommendations on where to start?

One option would be to sculpt the paws in clay, then mold and cast them in any material you like (foam, resin, silicone, etc). From there you could apply hair/fur.
