prototyping facial expressions mechanism
Hello,
I'd like to create puppets with mechanisms to modulate their facial expression. For example, being able to play an interpretation of "The Expression" from Disco Elysium would be fantastic ( https://www.thegamer.com/disco-elysium-the-expression-scathing-portrait-misery/ ). I've found two advanced, realistic examples, one with the lips of a monkey (https://www.lonewolftribe.com/post/another-interesting-blog-post-yet-to-be-written) and the other with all the muscles of the face (see pictures), both using silicone skin, tubes and cables.
I'd like to create a low-fidelity prototype, to get a feel for how it works, and I'd like to know if anyone has already experimented on the subject and could provide some images or even videos of a similar, simpler mechanism. Other than silicone, has anyone suggested anything else?
