Prosthetic Mediums Questions

I need some information from the crowd if you will be so kind; So I plan to make a mold for a face-fitting Part 3 Jason Voorhees unmasked prosthetic with a face-cast of mine, towards a Halloween costume, and I need some help to identify prosthetic medium materials that are similar to silicone rubber or foam latex, minus the hassle with ratio measurements as well as not expensive as either of the two materials. I did hear about foam gelatin, and wanted to know if it is tolerant to the abuse it will go through with as inexpensive as it is to use as a prosthetic medium, if there's more than likely anyone that had experience.

  • Gelatin is a great inexpensive option, however, it is not known for holding up well to abuse.   You may be able to find a small kit of low-durometer platinum silicone at an affordable price that will work for your appliances.  Just depends on your budget.

  • Thank you, Mr. Ellerby, for the suggestion. I will look into it. :)
