Common product alternatives for people outside the USA?
in General
It is what it is, some of the products that are industry standard / tutors go too, aren’t available outside the US, or if they are the price is jacked up 1000%.
Thought it might pay to have a sticky with alternatives for members around the world.
For example, I can’t get
Barge cement.
Barge cement.
I’ve been using Selleys Kwick Grip contact adhesive.
I want to know what others are using instead of
Propoxy 20 sculpt.
Propoxy 20 sculpt.
can’t get this in Australia.
I assume this is the same as 2 part epoxy putty / kneed it (though this one smells so bad when mixed)
What is a good substitute?
Add things you use as alternatives or add to the list and hopefully we can get a list of good alternatives. It would be good if you add what country you are from to help narrow down product ability but you don’t have too if you don’t want too. Also links or advice where to purchase said products would also be good.

As a Barge substitute, I've been using Sika ContactFix, and although I can't compare the two, I generally don't have any issues with the Sika product.
For Propoxy 20 Sculpt, it looks to be like a plumber's epoxy, which in the past I've picked up at Bunnings (and likely other hardware stores stock it too).
The 405th Halo Costuming Community has an expanding list of alternative tools and materials for Australians:

I've worked with a bunch of different materials, tools and methods so I'm happy to try and help any Aussies.2

They come in plenty of different sizes and are pretty cheap if you buy off some of the well-known cheap sites.
The usual standard PTFE is 4mm with a 1.75mm inner hole. but you can get smaller.
You can also get Connectors to plug / terminate the tubing into (I am not 100% sure how well it glues, it may be difficult).
Anyway, that's the cheap solution I use.
Example, don't buy from there though
