Creature ?.>>£* Hutton
This character was inspired by insects and in particular microscopic larvae. There are also a huge subconscious influence from Men in Black background characters ( I just realised after the initial sculpture was finished). Some of the texture was inspired by topographic mapping lines. It was sculpted with WED clay and cast as a Polyurethane piece, painted with acrylic. Both hand painted and some airbrushing,
I really enjoyed working this guy out and playing around with a few things. This was done during a class the other week with Odyssey Studios. First time painting a character with an airbrush so I am pretty proud of it and look forward to learning more and incorporating more airbrush techniques into future creatures.
