"A Baphomet or a Scapegoat! - it's all about your perspective"

It is a one piece silicone prosthetic appliance with digitally sculpted horns inspired by the Baphomet, a figure that has been featured in various contexts from heavy metal album covers to religious imagery. However, Baphomet represents more than just a symbol of malevolence; it encapsulates the duality of nature, a theme I aimed to delve into. I envisioned a character that exudes both power and wisdom while also embodying the weight of being a scapegoat. The dual aspects of Baphomet—good and evil, male and female, human and animal—were pivotal to my design approach. This project was not merely about crafting a demonic visage; it was about portraying a character that is rich in complexity and nuance. The piece has been painted with silicone pigments and been flocked on top. Additionally, angora doll hair has been used for hair punching the beard and the forehead.

  • Awesome! The short furs on the face - are they hand-punched, flocking, or sculpted in?
