Advice for Taking Next Steps Into Monster Making
Hi Everybody!
Sorry I haven't been keeping up to date with everyone. First thing I want to thank eveyone who helped me on giving me advice and tips on becoming an effects makeup arist. I honestly thought I wouldn't get this far. Last year I just finished a make up to help with my portfolio and get in the game. I also been working on some short films to improve my skills. Also did a couple of small live shows. Recently I just got a credit on IMDB for a short film that was released on youtube. It may not be much but I feel like I've been working really hard to make this a reality. Also I'm in the midsts of making my own effect company.
I just wanted know know, what sould be my next steps to take it further and improve my skills. I know I've been doing it for a while but I still feel like I have some obstacles and challenges that I need to work on. I work a full time job as a cook, my goal is to do this full time.

Earlier this year I watched Shannon Shea's "The Business of Making Monsters" series here. It covers stuff in both getting employed into the industry, as well as getting started as your own studio. I really wish I had watched it years ago.
