Stan Winston's Predator 1987
After watching a special effects reality show on TV with my 4 year old daughter, she got so excited with the themes that it reignited a passion I had from my own childhood. I wanted to try sculpting something after 15 years so I picked up some WED clay and decided to give an iconic character a try. A couple weeks later and the Predator was reborn.
Now after watching some of the Stan Winston School courses the last couple weeks, I decided that the next step was to mold and cast the sculpt into a latex mask. Next I'll get to teach her about airbrushing. Not only has this brought a new flame to an old passion of mine, but it's inspiring my daughter to use her own creativity and get into art as well as we sculpt together!
