I created ‘Ascend’ to reflect feelings of hope in dark times. The pain we feel drags and constricts us, but we can choose to pull away and avoid corruption. We may never break free, but we can continue to cling to hope, and one day we will Ascend.
‘Ascend’ was completely handmade by me, the artist. It is meticulously needle felted with natural wool fiber, and its details are sculpted in cosclay. It is free standing on a wool sculpted base and semi-poseable.
