Tips on sculpting Skeksis?
in Sculpture
I am attempting my very first sculpt, which will become a mask. Wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for sculpting the textures found on the Skeksis characters from The Dark Crystal film? Will be sculpting the upper beak portion only, so that the wearers mouth will still be visible.
Additionally, planning to 3D print some articulated claws, if anyone has tips on applying flexible casted material over moving 3D printed parts. Thank you!!

This course has a lot of great texturing techniques, and should help you:

I would also suggest looking at as much reference material as you can, which should give you good inspiration and a target to aim for.
