The Thing
For my contest entry, I crafted the creature from the thing bursting out
of my chest using a unique combination of materials and techniques. I
began with a foundation of tin foil and wire, carefully layering and
sculpting with air-dry clay. To breathe life into this eerie creation, I
employed a variety of mediums, including various paints, shellac, and
hot glue. To add those essential finishing touches, I incorporated FX
blood and doll hair. I'd
like to give a special shout-out to my wife, who sacrificed a
bra to assist in creating the inner mechanism that held everything
stable.
