Dream’s Helm
For 2023 I wanted to create my own version of Dream’s Helm from the Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman. 
Since Dream is a forever shifting personification of the unconscious I didn’t want to do an exact reproduction of other Helms out in the world. Keeping to the core silhouette I picked and borrowed elements from my favorite versions but also added my own flair. I designed the Helm digitally between Rhino 3D and Nomad Sculpt. I 3D printed the helmet in 16 parts, assembled and hand painted the helmet. The lenses I vacuum formed PETG off of 3D printed bucks and dyed them black. The spine tube is articulated and the helmet separates into two parts to fit on.
