Every year for Halloween I try to challenge myself to a new material/process/art medium. For 2022, I wanted to explore paper clay and I've always wanted to learn how to make a marionette. Once the marionette was underway a whole story and concept evolved into a full costume!

- Ringmaster, Antonio Spelterini: Handmade Marionette - paper clay (hands and head), sculpeyII for feet, acrylic paint, fabric, foam, wood dowels, string, paint stir sticks for armature,
- Penelope the Clown: Ringmaster assistant/mouse handler - custom made Circus tent skirt & tulle collar
- 3 mouse circus Top Hat: EVA foam, balsa wood, paper clay, led lights - all things hand sculpted, built & painted. interior image of circus tent drawn on procreate and printed. Ferris wheel spins!
