SILICON SKIN FROM STONE MOLD

Hi just curious as from what courses ive watched so far I havnt seen a silicon skin for animatronic pulled from stone (ultracal30) mold, most reference is to cast foam latex, question is can I pull a silicon skin from ultracal30 and if so do I need to seal the stone? if so can I seal with shellac? thx so much.

    Silicone can be cast just fine in a stone mold.  Just make sure that the mold has never run anything with latex in it, as that can inhibit the curing of platinum silicones. 

    Sealing the stone is optional, but you may want to use a release agent.
