‘Slugga’ - Monster Steak
'Slugga' the hands-up steak puppet was made in collaboration with one other modelmaker as part of an external brief for a student film called 'Red Meat', directed by Ben croucher.
Slugga's body is made of upholstry foam, wrapped in red fabric and painted with acrylic, then coated in liquid latex to give him a shiny, flesh-like appearance. His mouth is made of foam clay and his teeth are made of a white thermoplastic to allow him to safely 'bite' actors.

Slugga was actually used in the student short film, and attached below are screenshots from the scenes in which he was used. I’m unable to attach the videos of him in use as the file sizes are too large but they can be viewed in my website under the ‘Ben Croucher’s Red Meat’ subsection, which can be viewed here:https://64db8dff3956c.site123.me/modelmaking/ben-croucher-s-red-meat
