Extraterrestrial Scolopendra sculpture by Gabo
In one of Fred Fraileigh's videos, I saw a petrified, curled-up, sleeping(?) worm sculpture, and I thought of creating a freshly hatched, bright, vibrant variation of it, depicted in motion, with lots of details, in a large size.
The base consists of laryngeal tubes of different diameters wired to each other, on which I made an extra wire frame for the tentacles protruding from the head. I carved the head(hand) out of foam, then covered it all in several layers with EVA Foam Clay. After sanding, I treated its surface with Pastidip and finally mounted the LED strip on the back. The width of the statue is 125 cm.
