Pseudo Scientific Discovery of the Gruffalo
This is my reimagination of the Gruffalo (based on the book by author Julia Donaldson and Illustrated by Axel Scheffler). This piece was sculpted in wet clay, moulded and then cast in platinum cure silicone, with an expanding foam core. The art finishing was completed through the methods of fur transfer, flocking and hair punching. I painted both the silicone and fur with an airbrush. I made every part of my creature throughout the entire process. I cast and hand painted the eyes. I also sculpted, painted and flocked the mouse seen in the paw of the gruffalo.
