Question about pricing a stop motion puppet

Hello!
I got commissioned by a studio to make a 14 inches wide and 12 inches tall realistic stop motion puppet horse with full poseability of the body + jaw, ears and eyes similar to Ray Harryhausen's pegasus puppet but with aluminium wire armature.
They asked a price quote but I'm not sure what would be a fair price since I've never made a horse puppet before only dinosaurs. Also, I'm not professional yet but not a beginner puppet maker.
Thank you so much for the help!

Here are exaples of my work:

    Beautiful work there!

Pricing your own work is a difficult challenge as an artist.  Based on your past work, try and estimate how many hours you think it will take to create, then you can figure out an hourly rate that you think is fair.  Also add the cost of materials, expendables, shipping/delivery, etc.   Many artists undervalue their time, especially when worried about scaring off a client.  You can always lower your price later if your quote is outside of the client's budget,

Our course "The Business of Making Monsters" may also help you.
