What is the best way to get a smooth surface while carving upholstery foam?
Not sure if this is the right category. (forgive me if it's not)
Working on a large creature head for a client project, and It's being carved out of MDF upholstery foam. (design note: the design needs to look made out of foam.) You can clearly see the slices/cuts as I've trimmed it down, and I'm curious how would one go about smoothing the foam surface again? I've been snipping and slicing to get it smooth, but was curious if there is a way I'm just not figuring out. I can dremel and use dragon skin to smooth it right?
