Making costumes is
a hobby I have enjoyed for years. This year I made a Davy Jones costume
. Davy Jones is a character from Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean." I made the mask with silicone. Many of the tentacles are attached to a separate shoulder piece and are made of latex. This helped to minimize the weight on my head and neck. The claw and leg were made with carved foam and fiberglass. The claw easily opens and closes with my hand.
