Ketz

Bo Moore

This is a ketz, an Martian animal the size of a plump hen and about as bright. It eats sweet berries, which turn to fat and get stored in the tail for the dryer seasons, and it moves in a rapid and ungainly way through the treetops with the aid of the flexible muscle on the back of its head. Because of their rich diet, they have a rather alcoholic taste when eaten.
