Re: Doom Eternal Revenant
So cool! The airbrushed bodysuit was a great idea, and I love how it turned out. One lucky kid!

"Outsider" original character
Hey! I'd like to share a project I made for my sfx school diploma! This is Outsider, a murderous yet highly developed entity from a different galaxy.
I used many techniques in this project. I made a head and teeth cast on my model. Had to sculpt fake teeth, a front mask and a caul. This was my first time making fake teeth and a sillicone prostethic mask. The caul was made out of urethane resin and it acts like a helmet but it registers as a part of the organic mask.
The armor is just to highlight the sfx make up here and tie the character all togheter. It is made out of eva foam with RGB led lights programmed via an arduino pro trinket so the lights has a "breathing" animation.
The big black claws are actually made out of plastic "teeth" for decorating pumpkins.
I had a lot of fun making this project, I had to design it, plan everything and then finally make it!

Re: *** The 2021 Halloween Costume Contest Has Ended ***
it would be nice to know overall who were the top three...with an Honorable mention made to second and third place...a lot of people spent a lot of time and did some OUTSTANDING work on these costumes that may have taken months to put together and it would be nice to recognize them
Re: T H E F U N H O U S E
Wonderful work! If this doesn't scare everybody I don't know what else it could be:) Are the eyes on the one without teeth?

TaunTaun Build
This is my second costume. I originally built this as a way to highlight my high school robotics team and inspire young kids to explore STEM based projects. Covid shut down everything and I decided to use it to "reverse trick o treat" and hand out candy to little kids. The body is basically chicken wire over PVC pipe held up by a backpack harness and carabiners. The legs are polycarbonate (Lexan) pieces from our FIRST robotics field covered in fur. I built casings for the drywall stilts. I made a giant head out of Plastilina and covered it with 20 or 30 layers of caulk and cheese cloth. After I made a poor man's mold, I used post filler from the hardware store to make the foam head. I painted it with acrylic craft paint and brushed out cheap yarn for the hair. I included pictures from the winter too because I think it looks cooler in a Hoth like environment.

Aliens Powerloader
This is my last submission for the Halloween Costume Contest. Like the TaunTaun, I built this for community outreach and to highlight Young Makers at Detroit Maker Faire. This entire costume is basically foam core board, PVC Piping, pool noodles, HVAC tape and Acrylic paint for effect. I used a driving harness to hold the suit (I wore it like a backpack) while walking on Drywall Stilts. The legs are reinforced with scrap Lexan.
