Dru Blair Stencil Skins for silicone painting?

Have any of you had experience using Blair Stencil Skins? These stencils are typically used for portrait creation. I was thinking about applying them when painting silicone masks. It seems like a really good idea, doesn’t it?

Using Blair Stencil Skins could offer precise and detailed designs on silicone surfaces, which might enhance the realism or artistic effect of the masks. However, since silicone has a different texture and flexibility compared to paper or canvas, you might want to test how well the stencil adheres and how the paint behaves on silicone before working on your final piece. If it works well, it could definitely be an innovative approach to mask painting! Have you tried it yet, or is anyone else experimenting with this method?

  • I've used similar stencils a lot on past projects, and really enjoyed them.  You just have to be careful that the patterns don't become too obvious or repetitive.   I've not used them when painting silicone yet, but I'm sure they would do the trick!
