I used chavant nsp clay for the sculp and i was wondering how do i smooth it out to remove finger marks, this is my first time making a prosthetic so i was wondering also how could i make it better or if i should change something. Thanks in advance!!
A rake tool, the kind made from thick wound guitar string, would help take off high points and fill in low points from previous sculpting steps. It will make the surface look rougher initially, but after additional smoothing, the surface will be more even.
You can finish by brushing on a solvent like Naptha, Lighter Fluid, Mineral Spirits, NOVOCS from Smooth-On, Turpentine, and to a lesser extent 99% isopropyl alcohol. A trimmed-down chip brush works great for this.
