Choosing the Right Armature for a Full-Head Silicone Mask: Lifecast vs. Ed Armature

I would like to make a full-head silicone mask for the first time soon. I'm not quite sure whether it would be better to sculpt it on my own lifecast or on my Monster Makers Ed armature. I've read that masks like this are better made on a tighter armature, but Ed is really very small compared to my head (call me Elephant Man...). Can anyone help me here? Thanks in advance!

    I just bought the Ed Armature (H2o) last week without doing any research. Wish i did.

    The Ed Armature isnt really designed for mask making. The head is simply to large. It's designed for masks other then silicone. Like you said, when creating silicone masks the armature needs to be around 6-9% smaller then the head it needs to fit.
