Lies of P: Half Fighter Puppet (2025 Costume Contest)
I used 5 mm EVA foam for all the parts of the body and 3D printed the hand/shoulder piece for the male side. I sculpted the head (face and hair) with foam clay. I soldered the eyes with orange LED lights and they turn on individually. A lot of weathering was painted to resemble oil stains, rust, and dirt since this is a mechanical puppet (arms, legs, hands, head, torso, shoes). I glued the fabric on the EVA foam, layered the skirt and made the bow with foam as well. I fabricated the dumbell weapon with styrofoam floral balls, PVC pipes and PVC pipe covers. The weapon connects to the back with a metal plumming connector. This took me a total of 9 months.
