"The Hybrid" Creature

My name is Gavin Castelan, and I am 17yrs old. I would like to share my creature design, "The Hybrid," with you. This piece was inspired by the cancelled Jurassic Park 4, specifically the human-dinosaur hybrid concept art attributed to William Monahan and John Sayles. However, I wanted to create a distinct interpretation. Rather than a seamless blend, I envisioned "The Hybrid" as a grotesque testament to a failed experiment.

This is reflected in the asymmetrical design; one side of the creature's head is significantly deformed, shown by a series of unsettling bumps and tumors. Its dual tongues – one distinctly human, the other reptilian – further emphasize this sense of unnatural juxtaposition. The dentition is a disturbing fusion of Tyrannosaurus Rex and human teeth, designed to create a visceral unease in the viewer

The color palette draws inspiration from the T- Rex featured in *The Lost World: Jurassic Park*, contributing to the overall menacing aesthetic.  Materials I used for this creation are polymer firm clay, acrylic paints, and gel polish. The entire sculpting and painting process, from initial concept to final rendering, was approximately 12 hours of dedicated work. I would be delighted to discuss this project further and answer any questions you may have
