Has anyone found a reliable method to securely anchor Velcro to silicone for long-term durability?

Hi guys!

I'm working on a project involving a piece of silicone that I want to attach to fabric using Velcro. I've embedded one side of the Velcro into the silicone while it was still partially uncured. However, it seems like the Velcro may tear out over time, especially with repeated attachment and removal.

Has anyone found a reliable method to securely anchor Velcro to silicone for long-term durability?

Happy about all inputs.

  • As far as I know, the best way is to have it attached to fabric that is fully embedded in the silicone during casting.

  • This is the best for sewing Velcro to, then embedding it into silicone. 👍🏻
