Baby groot (for a 5 yr old)
This is a baby Groot costume I created for my kid for last Halloween:
I started out digitally sculpting the mask in Zbrush and then 3D printing and painting it:
The body I began with an under suit then cut out bark shapes from upholstery foam, also adding some branches with foam piping. The foam pieces were hot glued on to the under suit:
I then painted the foam pieces with latex. Several coats actually, enough so that they could absorb some acrylic paint. I detailed with some plastic plants and moss for model rail dioramas:
