Designed to look like a person wearing gear to prevent the workers and labor unions from complaining about being replaced by robots.
They couldn't quite simulate human musculature well enough so they only expose the face, which they still haven't perfected. They put her behind a sealed helmet to limit interest in interacting with it and exposing the bot as not human.
