I would mix latex with some pigment and apply a thin layer. You can use some opaque base and the pigment. But be careful with the textures, it could affect them.

=D =D I can´t wait to see the results >:3

What about vinyl? I´ve got a friend who makes shirt designs and it happens to be that he uses chromed metallic vinyl. It´s heat glued. So, it is flexible. In some cases, a vacuform machine could do the rest. But first, the adhesive tha bonds vinyl and silicone. Just thinking over the night, i´ve never tried this. I´ll do…

well, i am still waiting for help. Nobody shows to help me with my cast xD Alas, the misanthropy grows stronger every day. Try to make a design that you can assemble. Then go for the parts. The eyes and half of the nose, then the nose (And keeping your mouth open) and so on. Designing the breakthrough will improve your…

Why not both? I mean, two concepts in crossover to make one creature.

This is what i am doing in plasticera, just for testing. The brownish areas are the result of not being careful with the lighter. I guess i must use another thing.

It is fantastic! But i haven´t used Monster Clay nor Chavant (wich i starve to put my hands on) because living in Chile and i don´t use credit card, and so on. When i get my camera back i´ll post some pictures. When warm, it´s behaviour is like plasticine and it takes some time to harden, what it takes to make the general…

I´ve always worked on plasticin, untill this week, when i found out there is a recipe called Plasticera, which is plasticine hardened with paraffin and bee wax. I replaced the bee wax (too expensive here) with dental wax and it´s really working well. Plasticine 1kg Paraffin 250gr Bee or dental wax 250 First, heat the…

Great! I will use it next time =D Another thing i just remembered thanks to you, is that now i make my blood from alcote mixing some colorants, but here´s the thing to get the translucency and colour of the blood. I add instant coffe. Here in Chile, instant coffe is made of coffe and animal blood. Of course, they don´t say…

Hello Nina! I know how you feel. I live in Chile and there´s no place to study FX or monster making, so i learned from myself untill Stan Winston School appeared. It would be great if i could "convince" investors to make moster movies just saying "Hey, i approved this and that at SWS, you can trust me". I have teached a…

The foam will absorb the latex. You could spray glue as Jared said, or maybe put some latex in a flat surface, dry it with a hairdryer in order to make a thin film of latex, then aply it to the foam with a little latex sprayed on it. You expand the film when you are aplying it to the foam and you can get some interesting…
