Hello all! I finally got around to painting it! Comments welcome. All the best, Eleftheria :)
-
Thank you, Chris! (Btw, sorry about the mixup about the puppet contest posting.)
-
Congratulations! A well deserved win :)
-
I have to agree with Callum, this is fantastic! :)
-
I really like it! What is the scale?
-
Thank you for your kind words, Katherine! I have only moulded my smaller pieces, I've never tried to do a larger mould. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. All the best, Eleftheria :)

What scale is it? Are you going to mould it? I've never used WED clay: my large scale sculptures are made in water based clay which is also a quick medium & all the rest (between 1/6 and 1/8 scale depending on the project) are in Chavant Le Beau Touché. All the best, Eleftheria
-
Yes, now we can see it properly. Cool take on the character. :)
-
Hello & welcome! I like the sculpture, is it in WED clay? All the best, Eleftheria
-
The design looks great but it is a little too dark to see it properly. Can you upload a picture where we can see it better? All the best, Eleftheria
-
Very cool, love it!
-
Looks great! Welcome :)
-
Thank you, Chris! :)

Hello all! The sculpture is finished. I changed the position of the left arm to make the figure look more fluid - she looked a bit stiff with just the one arm crossed. Next step: molding in silicone & casting in resin. Final step: painting. Comments welcome. All the best, Eleftheria
-
Thanks, Chris. I'll change the position of the left arm - pictures to follow soon. All the best, Elia :)
-
Progress :)
-
Thank you for the info & the tips, Chris. I will see what's in the market in Greece. All the best, Elia

I'm not sure if there is something you can use to seal Chavant. Jordu Schell paints on it directly & if I am not mistaken has mentioned in his painting class that it stays malleable.
-
I also sculpt in Chavant (Le Beau Touché) and use silicone for my moulds which captures detail really well. Keep us posted on your progress. :)
-
Thank you, Jay!

You could cut some of the branches & mold them separately - easy enough if the sculpure doesn't have an armature, a bit more complicated if it does.
-
Very cool! Are you going to mould it?
-
Thanks! Eleftheria
-
Great stuff!

Wow, for your first sculpt this is very impressive!
