Jumpscare
Hello. This is my creation, Jumpscare, which is a Spinosaurus based on the model used by Jurassic Park 3. I carved it out of plasticine clay, scanned it with a 3d scanner, then printed it out in PLA filament and painted with model paints and a clear sealant. The head piece has glow in the dark features, giving its eyes and… -

Mold making with Hydrocal and a PLA 3D Printed part?
Was wondering if anyone has had any experience making a mother mold with hydrocal on a 3d printed object (PLA)? If so are there any tips or recommendations? I was watching the tutorial with Timothy Martin and it kinda gave me the idea and was wondering if it would work using smooth-on 65D to make the final product. Are the… -

Re: Servo to cable attachment.
Thanks for sharing your models Mr. Vaughan! I'll have to print your design out and give it a shot. I'm printing in PLA right now, which does not have the delamination problems you get with ABS, but it is not as durable and can't be acetone vapor smoothed. Oh, and my 4 hour print from my previous comment died just over 3… -
Iron Man Suit paint protection
Hello all, I'm currently 3D printing a Iron Man Mark 46 suit with PLA. I did a 2 part acrylic paint primer via HLVP sprayer and painted some of the parts via Enamel and Lacquer automotive spray paints. Would putting a 2 part urethane clear coat help strengthen and reduce scratches to the paint? Or is there a better option? -
Glamrock Foxy-FNAF Security Breach (Fan Made Animatronic-Mask)
This is a project that I worked on last year, it was my final major project as a model making student at Arts University Bournemouth. My challenge for this project was to mimic the style of the video game "Five Nights at Freddy's" (Security Breach) and create a brand new, fan made character that is not featured within this… -
Re: Eye mechanism
Welcome to the forums! Great design. I'm thinking of 3d printing an eye mech for an animatronic project I'm working on, but the head (which has the eyes tilted slightly outward makes normal front facing designs a bit problematic. I actually ran into your design a few months ago while browsing Thingiverse and really liked… -
Michael Jackson's "Thriller" Werecat (Recreation of Rick Baker's original work)
I am currently doing an MA degree at Falmouth university, with the guidance of Neil Gorton and Bradley Greenwood. For our first module within the course, I decided to challenge myself by choosing an iconic monster to re-create and make it look as accurate to the original as possible (with limited time and budget for… -

Ma nouvelle version ce veut être un hommage à Mike, et se base sur les… -
1:1 Cad Bane
Here's the completed Cad Bane bust I've been working on since May. I made all the patterns and sewed all his clothes, painted, weathered and added the electronics to incorporate light up eyes. The bust itself consists of two parts, a pla printed head and a slush cast liquid polyfoam chest. A spandex under suit was made to… -
The Stalker - A Zbrush to 3D Print Monster
The Stalker An Alien-like monster who uses his tall lanky body to creep around at night and stalk, and capture his prey from the back, before they even know what's going on. The Stalker has a hard exoskeleton that flexes according to his body movement for rigidity. His Jaws dislocate to expand his mouth for larger prey. He… -

A good supplier of 99% IPA?
Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding a good supplier of 99% IPA? I've been having trouble finding it lately. But I don't want to order from amazon.com or ebay, plus I'd like to cut the costs of shipping from distant locations. I'm located in NJ and sometimes the cost of shipping is equal to or in some… -
Queen's Slave
Hey there! I'm Rubén Astudillo, a 19 years old Ecuadorian guy who likes to do some stuff.
