Successful Award Winning, Texas Taxidermy Studio seeking Finish and Habitat Artist

Positions immediately available at a well-established business in Texas. Competitive wages. No state income tax, near metro area with excellent schools and community.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sculpt and rebuild facial features such as eyelids, lips, and nostrils with two-part sculpting compounds
  • Paint and restore color to facial areas with airbrushing and hand painting
  • Repair and rebuild horns, antlers, and other areas as needed using plastics and silicone
  • Perform final grooming and inspection
  • Visualize and blend colors to replicate reference photographs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

While we do not require industry-specific experience, as we provide on-the-job training, we are looking for the following attributes:

  • Enjoy all-day, hands-on work such as crafting, sculpting, and painting
  • Thrive on paying attention to minute details
  • Follow demanding quality standards
  • Be efficient in using various hand and power tools
  • Be hard working
  • Manage time effectively in order to complete delegated work within specified timeframes
  • Take critique and instruction eagerly
