Cottoneye- Moe: animatronic scarecrow mask

Heyho dear community :-)

I want to share a personal project which i did just for fun.

I was wondering, how scarecrow masks are made and a research showed me, that only burlap and epoxyresin are needed.

So i did a rough WED sculpture:

.... overlayed it with burlap straps and polyester- resin:

... damped a few acrylics on:

...and installed an arduino controlled eye with a single miniservo. The eye is attached to the servo directly and the servo is hotglued on the backside of the cheekbone.

I started with the animatronic stuff a few weeks ago and this is my first attempt to use animatronics in some way.

Really happy with the result- i love it,... i love my hobby and my decision to start with it. Could do that for the rest of my life <3

Hope you like it and maybe it inspires to try different things ;-)
