Monster Making Contest- Phoenix
Hello!
As an entry in to the monster making contest, I would like to submit my Phoenix.
She is a large scale multi media passion project. She is made with carved Styrofoam, styrene , resin, pvc pipe,urethane foam, upholstery foam, fur, and about 3 lb.s of real feathers. Her face was sculpted in monster clay and molded and casted. Her legs were sculpted from a water based clay and molded and casted. Fur and feathers were dyed and paint, and applied by hand with hot glue. Her full wing span is 6.5 ft and she is about 60 inchs beak to tail . And best part , I can break her down into parts for storage and travel.
